Teaching Major in Special Education: Exceptional Needs P–12

Earn your bachelor's degree in Special Education: Exceptional Needs P-12 and prepare to support learners with exceptional needs from preschool through grade 12. Through coursework in assessment, instructional planning, behavior support, and evidence-based teaching practices, you'll develop the knowledge and skills to create inclusive learning environments where every student can succeed.

Early field experiences begin in your first year and build toward a full-time student teaching placement, and graduates are prepared to meet Indiana licensure requirements for teaching students with exceptional needs (P–12), with eligibility for reciprocal licensure in many other states. Whether you aspire to work in public or private schools, specialized programs, or inclusive classrooms, you'll graduate ready to create supportive learning environments that help every student succeed.
