Pop Performance Lab (PPL) is a contemporary music ensemble that consists of several bands that perform pop, R&B, indie rock, hip hop, classic rock, soul, blues, and other popular music genres. Through the ensemble, the students gain experience collaborating with other musicians on unique covers of popular songs and on original compositions.

Audition Required
All Fall 2026 auditions will be held in person in MU 009 in the Hargreaves Music Building. Eligible instruments: Drums, bass, guitar, vocals, keyboard, horns, woodwinds, brass, strings, aux percussion. We are open to most instruments as long as they fit into a commercial music ensemble.
