The Corrections and Human Behavior concentration offers students an opportunity to specialize their education in both criminal justice and criminology (CJC) and psychological science (PSYS) with coursework focusing in the area of corrections, human services, and human behavior. Students with this concentration will graduate with an understanding of the criminal justice system and the psychology of offending and deviant behavior, and best practices in changing offenders’ behavior. This concentration requires 48-51 credit hours (variation due to internship) by completing 27 credit hours in CJC and 12 credit hours in PSYS. The remaining 9-12 credit hours are directed electives, where students can choose from a list of courses that include both CJC and PSYS offerings.
