Dr. Renmei Xu teaches courses in the Graphic Arts Management program. She received her BE degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Beihang University in Beijing, China in 1995, and then worked as a quality engineer at ASIMCO Tianwei Fuel Injection Equipment Co., Ltd. in Beijing from 1995 to 1999. She came to the United States in 1999, and received her MS degree in Materials Science and Engineering and PhD degree in Paper and Imaging Science and Engineering from Western Michigan University in 2001 and 2006, respectively. She became an assistant professor in the Department of Technology at Ball State University in 2006 and is now an associate professor in the School of Art. Her research interests include ink mileage, print quality, computer to plate/screen, functional papers, printed electronics, rapid prototyping technologies such as laser engraving and 3D printing, edible printing, etc.
