Information systems and operations management (ISOM) includes several rapidly changing industries with many diverse career fields. At the C3 event, students can explore various career fields and learn how to get a head start on their academic and professional journey. Employers will be on hand to discuss internships and other opportunities to gain experience.

The C3 event gives businesses a unique opportunity to engage with students who are interested in careers relating to business analytics, computer information systems, computer technology, and logistics and supply chain management. The conference also lets professionals share their experiences and insight into the field while recruiting for desirable internships and careers.

The ISOM C3: Create Career Connections connects students with industry professionals and potential employers.

This annual networking and career preparation event is designed for students studying various business majors.  The panels will be presenting more information on opportunities and careers in fields such as:

  • Interactive panel discussions will connect you with varied experts who may share stories of trials and successes and will give recommendations for how best to connect with employers.
  • A career fair area will ensure students enjoy networking and have plenty of time to learn about internship and employment opportunities
  • Companies have the option of scheduling same day and next day interviews.

Information for Students

C3: Create Career Connections lets students get to know the majors offered by the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM), learn from experts who work in the professions and connect with potential employers for internship and employment opportunities.

ISOM 125 students are required to reserve a seat for the panel discussion. Choose from:

Session A- 12:00p - 12:50p

Session B- 1:00p - 1:50p

Session C- 2:00p - 2:50p

Session D- 3:00p - 3:50p

The panels will last one hour.

Come make some great connections within your future industry!

Representatives and recruiters will be on hand to speak to students throughout the event (12 p.m.- 4 p.m.) about available positions within their respective companies.

Information for Businesses

Wednesday, October 2nd, from 12 to 4 p.m. at the L.A. Pittenger Student Center. The ISOM C3 event is a partnership between the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management and the Career Center to bring employers to campus who are actively recruiting Ball State students for full-time employment, internships, and more.

There will be 4 panels each one hour long.

Session A- 12:00p - 12:50p

Session B- 1:00p - 1:50p

Session C- 2:00p - 2:50p

Session D- 3:00p - 3:50p

Get in front of 1000+ Ball State University Miller College of business students. Great opportunity for exposure and engagement. 

Expect to engage in professional discussions with students from a variety of majors, but with a focus on Business Analytics, Computer Information Systems, Computer Technology, and Logistics & Supply Chain Management. This will be a networking event with opportunities for internship and career recruitment as well as professional development panels for the students.
