Academics 101

  2. Stay on top of your work and progress. Use our Canvas and MyBallState websites to keep track of your classes, assignments, grades, and records. DegreeWorks helps you track your academic progress.
  3. Make the most of our support services. Academic Advising, the Learning Center, and the Writing Center offer tutoring, workshops, and other academic assistance. The PACE Program will help if you run into trouble.
  4. Choose a major and potential career. Explore your interests through the Career Center and the KEY Careers program, and take our online Myers-Briggs personality test. Your academic advisor can help you decide on a major.
  5. Don't overlook the required courses. The University Core Curriculum, a large part of your first-year classes, provides a valuable foundation of essential skills and knowledge for your life.
