The Office of Information Security Services is responsible for the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all information assets at Ball State University. But at the end of the day, cyber security is ultimately about people. Our office is a resource in helping you to be cyber aware and cyber secure. If each of us commits to staying informed on cyber risks and follows best practices, we can make a big difference in staying safe online.
One of the most important measures you can personally do is have a strong, complex password. It can be the barrier, or the weakest link in accessing your personal information. If you are unfamiliar with the university's password requirements, visit the Technology Knowledge Base. We strongly encourage you to change your password if you’ve not done so recently. To change your password visit the Ball State Password Console.
Our office is responsible for managing university technology policies and procedures, including what to do in the event of a security breach or how to dispose of confidential information. We also provide you with the information you need to protect your personal or work computer.
