Areas within Facilities Planning:

Architectural staff oversee the creation or modification of physical facilities on Ball State campus. The goal is to provide for sustainable future and alignment with the campus master plan. Facilities Planning staff serve as the representative and project managers working with external consultants (architects and engineers) working with the university client to ensure the projects meet Ball State standards. Small projects for renovation and remodeling projects are Internally handled by staff architects and designers.

Interior Design

Interior design staff work to create solutions that meet functional, aesthetics and enhancement for the quality of life for university clients. These services include selection of new furniture, furnishings and replacement of room finishes. Interior design staff develop, review, and maintain university guidelines for furniture, furnishings, and interior finishes. Interior design staff work with external consultants working with the university to ensure compliance with university guidelines.

Real Estate

Real estate staff provide services related to university owned real estate including buying, selling, leasing, and developing.

Sign Shop

The sign shop makes and maintains all interior and exterior building signage, directional signage and assists in producing special signs as needed.

Space Planning

Space planning staff maintain information on space use and inventory for academic and administrative space and maintain building plans.

Design Services Consultants

Architects, Engineers, Landscape Architects, and Interior Designers with interest in providing design services for Ball State University should complete the Architect and Engineering Qualification Statement (PDF).

Firms are encouraged to renew their submission as needed to reflect changes in experience, and staffing. Information provided with the Qualification Statement along with past performance, references, project specific experience will be utilized in the selection of firms to submit Request for Qualifications (RFQ).
