Stile Antico burst onto the musical scene in July 2005 with competition success at the York Early Music Festival, and in a single decade has established itself as one of the world's most accomplished and innovative vocal ensembles. Working without a conductor, its twelve members have thrilled audiences across the globe with their fresh vibrant and moving performances of Renaissance polyphony.

Based in London, Stile Antico is much in demand and enjoys a busy international touring schedule performing at many of the world’s most prestigious venues and festivals, including Amster- dam Concertgebouw, Wigmore Hall, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Cité de la Musique, Palais des Beaux Arts, BBC Proms and Boston Early Music Festival. The group has premiered works by Nico Muhly and Huw Watkins, and collaborated with performers as diverse as Fretwork, B’Rock, Marino For- menti and Sting.

In recent seasons the group has completed an acclaimed Shakespeare400 tour, launched a bursary scheme for young singers and explored the music of J.S. Bach for the first time. After the success of the group’s Shakespeare tour, Stile Antico will explore the musical world of Shake- speare’s Queen Elizabeth I in 2018. The group also continues its work on setting new texts to Dow- land’s Lachrimae Pavans and prepares to mark the 400th anniversary of the voyage of the May- flower in 2020.
