Carmella Hise is the Assistant Vice President for Development

Carmella never planned on pursuing a career in fundraising as she did not know it was even an option early on. Planning on a different career, Carmella went to law school but ended up loving the higher education space and decided to get more involved at the university level. In her current role, she loves meeting donors, learning their stories, and helping them realize their vision. Being a part of someone else’s legacy is what continues to motivate her. Prior to coming to Ball State, Carmella worked for Northwestern University and Indiana University Foundation.

Outside of work, Carmella loves yoga, gardening, and anything Disney. Her favorite place on her is Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Carmella is supported by her wonderful husband Jason, daughter Nina, dog Mace, and two black cats – Jeff and Chewbacca.
