Bookmark Cafe

Several cafés, delis, and markets around Ball State’s campus offer fast meals, late-night bites, specialty coffees, and grocery basics. Like larger locations, these dining spots focus on fresh, custom-made options and offer a healthy variety of fruits and vegetables.

Located on Bracken Library's first floor, Bookmark Café is a cozy place to grab salads, sandwiches, soup, macaroni and cheese, and fresh fruit and veggie cups. At breakfast time, you can find cereals, yogurt, bottled juices, and donuts baked just hours earlier. Enjoy a specialty espresso drink or smoothie.

The café serves Indianapolis-roasted Hubbard & Cravens artisanal coffees and teas, which means your latte or cappuccino is crafted from beans that have met rigorous quality and flavor standards.

The Máka Mia Pizza robotic pizza shop is located at the Rec Lounge in the Jo Ann Gora Student Recreation and Wellness Center. This machine is operational 24/7, and is accessible during the Recreation Center operating hours. It delivers you a hot, fresh hearth stone baked 10 inch pizza within 3 1/2 minutes once you have placed your order.

Currently it offers 12 styles of pizza, including some with cauliflower crust, breakfast pizzas, giant cookies, and pretzel bites with cheese. You can also buy a take-and-bake style cold pizza if you want to save it for later to bake it yourself.

If you are looking for a quick bite or something to take back to your room, Micro Café in Studebaker West Complex is the perfect choice for microwavable entrees, grab-n-go sandwiches or salads, convenience grocery items, and bottled drinks. This market on the east side of campus also offers freshly baked pastries, snacks, and locally roasted Hubbard & Cravens gourmet coffee.

The Multicultural Center Ice Cream Shop is located right in the heart of campus to the east side of Bracken Library. Here you can find 16 different flavors of hand-dipped Hershey's brand ice cream, shakes, sundaes, and donut ice cream sandwiches.

Offerings also include oat milk ice cream for those with dairy allergies, sorbet, sugar-free, and even rotating seasonal flavors!
