The Faculty Artist Series features School of Music faculty sharing their talent and passion for music with the campus and community.
This year's Musical Arts Woodwind Quintet will feature flutist Mihoko Watanabe, Professor of Flute at Ball State University; oboist Lisa Kozenko, Professor of Music (Oboe); clarinetist Elisha Willinger, Assistant Teaching Professor; bassoonist Joey Lavarias, Assistant Teaching Professor of Music (Bassoon); and hornist Gene Berger, Professor of Music (Horn). Together, they bring extensive orchestral, solo, and chamber experience, combining artistry with a commitment to education and advocacy for contemporary repertoire.
“American Mosaic: 250 Years in Sound”
As the United States commemorates its 250th anniversary, American Mosaic: 250 Years in Sound celebrates the richness, diversity, and evolution of the nation's musical voice through the distinctive medium of the woodwind quintet. Like a mosaic composed of many individual pieces, American music is shaped by a multitude of cultures, traditions, and artistic perspectives. This program brings together four composers whose unique backgrounds and musical languages reflect the complexity and vitality of the American experience.

This recital is free and open to the public.
Parking
Parking is available in the McKinley Parking Garage (entrance on Ashland Avenue) located immediately south of Sursa Hall. On weekdays, metered parking is available on the first floor of the garage until 7 p.m. at which time parking is free. This garage is free on weekends.
