Now that you’re a Ball State Cardinal, it’s time to get better acquainted with our campus community and prepare for your first semester here. At Orientation, you will meet with an academic advisor, register for classes, learn more about our supportive resources, and build relationships with your future classmates.
Whether you’re a first-time freshman or a new transfer student, we will provide all the answers you need to confidently transition into this new chapter of your life. The entire Ball State community is committed to ensuring your success from day one. We will give you the opportunity to thrive and empower you to “fly.”
Register for Orientation
In order to fully prepare for an academic career at Ball State, all new students are required to attend a one-day Orientation program on campus. To receive your Orientation invitation, you must first confirm your enrollment at Ball State. Learn more about how to register ahead of your planned starting term.
Bring Your Family
Family members—your parents and guardians—are encouraged to attend Orientation with you at no additional cost! They will participate in some sessions with you as well as other sessions just for them. Our family programming is specifically designed to help family members become familiar with Ball State and its many resources and to support your transition to college.
