What You Will Learn
In this program, a general review of modern astronomy will be followed by an observational astronomy course and opportunities for more detailed studies and projects. The introductory astronomy minor will provide you with a strong background in astronomy necessary for science teachers, planetarium directors, and jobs in science museums.
This minor includes:
- an algebra-based, three-semester overview of astronomy
- an observational astronomy lab course using the planetarium and observatory
- a capstone course with individual and group activity options
