We provide free planetarium shows to the general public almost every week of the year, traditionally with showings on Friday evenings (with variations during holiday breaks and summer). See below for descriptions of our current and upcoming programs as well as showtimes.

Now Playing and Coming Soon...

The Brown Planetarium Staff will unfortunately be cancelling all public planetarium programs scheduled from Thursday, March 12 to April 30, 2020 in response to COVID-19. We were excited to share our line-up of programs with everyone, but we must do what is best for the safety of our community guests. Thank you for your enthusiasm and support for our programs.

Support Our Programming

We take great pride in our ability to provide educational and entertaining programs at no cost to our visitors. That happens largely through financial gifts and the hard work of our volunteers and interns.

Lease One of Our Shows

We are able to create our own programming, which we lease to other planetariums. Our programs include original animations, 3D models, music, and more, all of which are created on campus in our production dome by our students, staff, and faculty. We offer multiple prices, based on the length of the lease and resolution you need.
