George Buss has been designing experiences for 30 years through a wide selection of mediums like storytelling, theater production, museum exhibits, immersive festivals, and board/video games. He focuses on coupling system design with the cognitive tools of the imagination to create experiences that provoke thought and evoke emotion. He most recently served as the Vice President of Visitor Experience at Minnetrista Museum & Gardens, where he led the design and development of the Bob Ross Experience, an immersive recreation of the studio where Bob Ross filmed The Joy of Painting. Currently, George is the Director of Customer Success at Gazelle, a small business software company where he shapes product development, UI design, support, and other customer experience elements. George loves bringing his experience to the Ball State classroom, teaching how to create "fun" and design digital experiences using a cycle of system design, user feedback, and iteration.
