About Mary Moore

Ms. Mary Moore has been in lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies at Ball State University for 18 years. In addition to teaching Mary is the Director of the university’s nationally-ranked speech team. She also serves as the faculty advisor for the Ball state chapter of Students Demand action for Gun Sense in America. She has received numerous awards and honors for her teaching and coaching over the past fifteen years, including the 2014 Department of Communication Studies excellence in service award, and the 2013 College of Communication & Media outstanding teacher of the year award and 2015 extraordinary service award. When she’s not teaching Mary is dedicated to working on gun violence prevention and spending time with her husband and three beautiful children.
