About Mary Moore

Senior lecturer Mary Moore has taught in the Department of Communication Studies at Ball State University for over two decades. In addition to teaching interpersonal and presentational communication, Mary is the most successful speech director in Ball State's history. The team dominated the Indiana State Championship Tournament during her time as the Director, winning the state championship every year. In national competition, the team won 43 event titles and captured the 2019 team sweepstakes at the National Speech Championships tournament. When she is not teaching, Mary enjoys facilitating communication training sessions for local organizations, advocacy work, and spending time with her husband, three teenagers, and two dogs.
