Dr. Maugherman is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Counseling Psychology. Dr. Maugherman has over 25 years of clinical experience, including running a large group practice and serving as the Director of Behavioral Health for a Federally Qualified Health Center providing integrated care. He graduated from our Doctoral program with a cognate in assessment and won the Outstanding Dissertation of the Year award. Much of his clinical work has been in assessment, primarily in the areas of intelligence testing, ADHD screening, and differential diagnosis. He also specializes in adolescent therapy and has provided clinical supervision for over 150 students over the years. His teaching interests include counseling theories, practicum, group supervision, psychopathology, and assessment.
