Ball State has several departments and students groups that have sustainability issues as a central focus. Please go to their websites to find out more information. Although not an exhaustive list, some of these departments include:

  • Facilities Planning and Management which includes Landscape Services and Transportation
  • Field Station and Environmental Education Center
  • Office of Community Engagement and its Building Better Neighborhoods program 
  • Office of Inclusive Excellence
  • Working Well

Student Groups that currently have or had sustainability issues as a central focus include the following. Please go to Student Life and Benny Link to see if and when these groups meet.

  • the Community and Environmental Affairs committee in the Student Government Association (SGA). SGA usually meets weekly during the academic year on Wednesdays around 3PM in one of the Student Center conference rooms. 
  • the Emerging Green Builders (the student chapter of USGBC at BSU)
  • Energy Action Team
  • Green Action Team
  • Natural Resources (NREM) club
  • Wildlife Society

Ball State is a member of or has participated in organizations and networks that support the ideals and actions of sustainability.  These organizations include:
