Software Request and Accessibility Review

The University reviews all incoming software to ensure it meets accessibility guidelines under state and federal laws. Read through the Tips for Requesting Software section to learn about what kinds of information you can include in your request to help the review process go smoothly.

Tips for Requesting Software

Before submitting a purchase request, you should collect some information about the software you are requesting. Providing this information in your request helps the review process go more smoothly and quickly.

Please submit the following information in your request:

  • Vendor Contact Information
    • Name, phone number, and email
    • Note: Please do not provide general or shared contact information. The name, phone number, and email you provide should be tied to one specific person.
  • Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT)
    • Companies should supply a completed VPAT with the accessibility information for their software. If provided, please attach the form to your purchase request.
    • If there is no VPAT available, please provide some way to access the product.

Submitting a Purchase Request

Once you have compiled the necessary information about the software you want to request, you should fill out and submit a Software Request Form.
