Workers complete the installation of two 560-pound furnaces in the hot shop of the university's new Marilyn K. Glick Center for Glass. Specially built by a North Carolina company, the gas-fired units will operate at temperatures exceeding 2,300 degrees Fahrenheit. The Glick Center opens this fall and will serve as home of Ball State's recently approved bachelor of fine arts (BFA) and master of fine arts (MFA) in visual art programs.
