Satomi Wakabayashi is a staff therapist. She received her BS degree in Psychology from Olivet Nazarene University, IL. and received her MA degrees in Psychology and Counseling from Ball State University. She went on to become credentialed as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). Prior to coming to the Counseling Center, Satomi worked at a youth residential program and a community mental health clinic as a mental health counselor. She also worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor collaborating with Ball State University and various facilities in surrounding communities. Satomi is bilingual in English and Japanese. As Satomi has been an international student as well as a professional herself, she has a strong desire to promote mental health among diverse populations. Her clinical interests include depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues.
