EVENT CANCELED - Due to unforeseen circumstances, this event has been canceled. - The Institute for the Study of Political Economy will welcome Vernon Smith, Nobel Laureate in Economics (2002), on Wednesday, October 9, at 5:00 p.m. in AJ 175. His lecture, “Theory of Society,” will shed light on Adam Smith’s Theory of Moral Sentiments, offering fresh context and clarity on the 18th-century classic. Dr. Smith will connect these ideas to contemporary issues, making the work relevant for today’s economists, social scientists, and philosophers.

Get ready for an evening of hands-on fun at the Lego Lab of Tower, happening on October 9th from 6 to 8 PM in the Northwest MPR and Game Room. This interactive event invites students to unleash their inner engineer and compete in two exciting Lego-based challenges. Whether you're a seasoned builder or just looking for a relaxed way to connect with others, this program offers something for everyone. The night kicks off at 6 PM with a Lego Tower Competition, where participants will race against the clock to construct the tallest and most innovative tower using only Lego bricks. At 7 PM, the challenge shifts to building bridges in our Lego Bridge Competition, testing both creativity and structural design. Throughout the evening, attendees can enjoy a variety of snacks, including Halloween candy, punch, and water. Whether you're there to win or just want to have fun, the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere makes this a perfect way to unwind and engage with others.
