Get Ahead and Build Your Path
Dual credit and other advance credit options offer a fantastic opportunity for homeschool students to supplement their high school curriculum. Our Transfer Center is ready to help homeschool students and families plan their educational journey by reviewing credits to ensure they count toward a Ball State degree.
Homeschool juniors and seniors are encouraged to explore our Dual Credit Program! Dual credit is a great way for homeschool students to earn credit and get acclimated to college-level courses while completing high school requirements. Dual credit courses are taught by Ball State professors, easing the teaching load for homeschool family members while delivering students high-quality coursework to enrich their curriculum. Asynchronous Courses
Our 50+ online courses area synchronous, providing homeschool students and families with flexibility in their unique educational journey.
Indiana College Core Completion
We offer the Indiana College Core (ICC), a 30-credit hour block that transfers between all Indiana public and some private institutions.
Lower Cost and Time Spent
By completing courses that satisfy Ball State requirements, it is possible to finish your degree at a quicker pace and spend fewer semesters in college.

We have valuable resources for homeschool students and their families to feel confident during the application process, and we’re happy to help answer any questions you may have. Additionally, each spring we host Homeschool Visit Day, an informative event designed for homeschool students grades 9-11 to explore Ball State.
You can also request an in-person or virtual visit for your co-op or homeschool group. These information sessions can cover topics like Ball State programs and opportunities, career exploration, curriculum planning, transcripts, transitioning to college, and more.
