Fall 2024 Classes: Colorful Faces, Places, and Things

For Fall 2024, we will focus on artists and illustrators use color as a voice to express ideas and feelings in all types of art! Kids will learn about exciting artists and artworks, plus work with a range of artistic materials in a fun and creative atmosphere in classes taught by Ball State art education students.

Classes are open to kids in grades 1-6.

Classes will be held Saturdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on the following dates:

Art education classroom - teacher instructs the classroom of child painters

  • Sept. 21
  • Sept. 28
  • No class Oct. 5 (BSU Fall Break)
  • Oct. 12
  • Oct. 19
  • Oct. 26 (BSU Homecoming. Classes start at 10:30 and run to 11:45.)
  • Nov. 2
  • Nov. 9: Final Celebration and Exhibit. View your child’s work and visit the teachers. Families invited.

Classes are held in the Art and Journalism Building, easily accessed off Riverside Avenue on the Ball State campus. View map. 

Cost is $35 for the first child and $25 for each additional sibling. Pay via debit card, Visa, or Mastercard.

The cost per child covers all classes for that child.

On the first Saturday:

Between 8:45-9:20 a.m. on Sept. 21 come to our information table on the first floor of the Art and Journalism Building near the Ball State Bookstore. There you will receive information about your teacher and classroom assignments. A brief information session for parents will be held at 9:40 a.m.

We are anticipating parking to be a little challenging on this first Saturday morning.  Parking is free in meter spots on Saturdays, but if the AJ lot is full, please see this map and consider parking in the R2 lot to the north.

Register through Sept. 19 by noon.
