The Friends of the Alexander M. Bracken Library is a group of community members, benefactors, and supporters who provide financial contributions, research materials and resources, ideas and goodwill to advance the work, services, and resources of Ball State University Libraries. Membership in the Friends of Bracken Library is open to anyone who makes a financial contribution or a gift in kind contribution to the University Libraries.

The generosity of Libraries Friends is essential to sustaining impactful services and resources for students, faculty, and staff offered through Ball State University Libraries.

The Friends of the Alexander M. Bracken Library hosts an annual dinner and board meeting in the spring in addition to a number of free programs open to the public throughout the year.

Reel Inclusion: A Film Series

The "Reel Inclusion" film series began Fall Semester 2019 as a collaborative effort between The Office of the Provost, Inclusive Excellence, the Multicultural Center, University Libraries, and the Friends of the Bracken M. Library with the goal of involving students, faculty, and community members in discussions focusing on societal issues examined in the films.

Board of Governors

The Board of Governors of the Friends of the Alexander M. Bracken Library consists of community members, University faculty and staff, a student representative, and Libraries representatives that works in establish goals and coordinate the functions of the Friends with the university library system.
