Students study materials at the Library

Ball State University Libraries welcome gifts of books, media and other information resources supporting the instructional and research programs of the university.

It is recommended that you discuss your potential donation with Michael Twigg, Head of Collections Development.

Review Process

University Libraries review gift collections carefully and judiciously select or decline materials according to collecting policies. University Libraries normally do not accept restrictions from donors regarding shelving, access, or processing of gifts.

Donated materials become the property of Ball State University Libraries, which reserve the right to dispose of gift materials in whatever manner best serves the interest of the University and the Libraries.
