The BFA dance degree is designed to prepare students for a performance career by training for various skills in multiple techniques, performing in BSU Theatre and Dance productions, and participating in external high impact performance opportunities. All BFA students are required to take beginner technique courses in all styles, Dance History courses, Improvisation, Choreography courses, and complete a Senior Capstone.

The Concert Dance Concentration hones in developing advanced skills in Modern, Ballet, Jazz, and Hip-hop with further emphasis on performing in various concert dances spaces. Students will be required to complete a portfolio process and Senior Capstone project that is geared towards their concentration. BFA Dance Students are selected for this degree program by audition.
