Important Dates for Spring 2027

Spring 2027 course registration for the Ball State Online Master’s in Computer Science and Master’s in Data Science is open now. Prepare for registration by completing the steps below. All courses are from January 11 to April 30, 2027. Complete payment for all courses is due by January 11, 2027, and the final deadline for all payments is January 17.
Select Your Program and Pay Your One-time Enrollment Deposit
You can register for courses after you pay the one-time, non-refundable $100 enrollment deposit and you agree to the financial terms. After you pay the deposit, you will receive instructions to create your Ball State account then register for classes.
Pay Your Deposit
If you do not register by January 17, 2027, or if you drop all your courses by then, your deposit will be credited to your student account for up to one calendar year. You will be able to use this credit the next time you register for courses, if it falls within the credit period.
Have you already paid your one-time $100 enrollment deposit? If you answered "yes," great! You should receive an email in your Ball State account about your course registration time ticket. Refer to that email for instructions.
If you paid the enrollment deposit for a prior term and have no prior course registrations, you will need to resubmit the enrollment form to reactive your Ball State account.
If you want to add a second degree or certificate, you will need to resubmit the form and select the additional program. You will only need to pay the enrollment deposit once.

Start or continue your education by registering for any of the following 3-credit courses. Several courses can be taken for either the computer science or data science degrees, including CS 617, CS 654, DSCI 604, and DSCI 605. They provide a good way to explore both fields and decide what you want to focus on.
