Indiana secondary teachers are required to hold a journalism-teaching license to teach journalism and advise student media in grades 5-12. Our journalism license addition will prepare you with the knowledge and skills needed to pass the Indiana journalism-licensing exam for grades 5-12.

Program Requirements

If you hold a bachelor’s degree and secondary teaching license in another content area, you’re eligible to pursue this license addition. Current undergraduate students should speak with their advisor or the Office of Teacher Education Services before registering for courses.
