Who Should Apply

If you are a graduate student pursuing degrees in sport administration, athletic coaching, social psychology, psychological sciences, education leadership, counseling psychology, athletic training, or social work, the Integrated Athlete Services Graduate Certificate is a great way to expand your skill set in understanding the nature of athlete services and prepare you to be eligible for certification through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology as a mental performance consultant. In fact, if you are a Ball State graduate student, you may already have some of these courses under your belt.

Certified Mental Performance Consultant

Or, if you are a full-time professional who plans to work or currently works with athletes but would like a stand-alone credential to recognize your skills and prepare you to be eligible for certification, this certificate will help you be confident in your abilities to work with athletes at any level.

This Certificate Pairs Well with Multiple Master’s Degrees

Since the Integrated Athlete Services Graduate Certificate combines courses from multiple disciplines, it will enhance several master’s degrees, including the Master’s in Athletic Coaching Education, Master of Social Work, Master’s in Counseling Psychology, and Master’s in Sports Administration. If you are currently working toward earning one of these degrees or have already your degree, contact your Student Success Specialist, Jeremy Johnson, to find out how many of your credits already count towards earning your certificate.
