Grants for College

Good news for Indiana adult students! The Indiana Commission for Higher Education is offering college grants for adults returning to college, or even beginning their educational journey. The Adult Student Grant awards up to $2,000 to help pay for your college expenses and is renewable. This grant is available to Indiana residents, aged 25 and older, who are enrolled or will be enrolled in an undergraduate program.* Review the requirements below and learn if you qualify for the Adult Student Grant.

Develop an internship at your current workplace or explore opportunities with other businesses or governmental organizations that fit with your professional aspirations, schedule, and location.

Work with a top company on one of its most important supply chain projects. You’ll work with your online peers to plan, develop, and present viable alternatives. Examples of projects include global manufacturing strategies, green movement, Lean Six Sigma, and enterprise resource planning.

Admission requirements and how to apply

Review the admission requirements of Ball State University to become a logistics and supply chain major. This degree is open to anyone who is finishing a bachelor’s degree, considering a second bachelor’s degree, or starting college for the first time.

Transfer Credits

Many adult students already have some college credit completed when they begin their studies with Ball State Online. In fact, more than 90 percent of bachelor’s degree seekers transfer some or all of their previous credits. If you fall under this category, contact your student success specialist to learn more about transferring your credits to Ball State.

Ivy Tech and Vincennes Graduates

If you have an associate of science degree in business administration from Ivy Tech Community College or Vincennes University, you can begin earning you Ball State bachelor’s in logistics and supply chain management entirely online, and with a Junior status.

Application Deadlines

An application and all required application materials must be received two weeks prior to the start of classes for a given term in order to be considered for admission to Ball State. Our semester start dates can be found in Ball State’s academic calendar.

Plan for at least 3-4 weeks for staff from your previous schools to send official transcripts to Ball State. We will review your application as soon as we receive all your application materials.

Students from Other States

Ball State is authorized to accept online students from all U.S. states. Certain conditions may apply depending on what regulations your state has and what degree you are seeking. Learn more about state authorization for non-Indiana students.

Testing and Advanced Credits

Ball State provides you opportunities to gain college credit via exams such as the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and Ball State departmental exams. Or, you may qualify for credits for military service. Contact Ball State Online or request information to find out more.

GPA Requirements as You Progress

You will need to have a grade of C or higher in each of the following courses — that you take early within your program — to continue or advance in the major:

  • ACC 201 Principles of Accounting I
  • ECON 201 Elementary Microeconomics
  • MATH 111 Pre-Calculus Algebra
  • MATH 132 Brief Calculus

Our bachelor’s in logistics and supply chain management requires you to fulfill at least 120 credits:

  • University Core Curriculum (36-39 credits)
  • Business Foundation Courses (45 credits)
  • General Electives (18 credits) Your academic advisor will help you choose the best ones to fine-tune your course plan with your career goals and personal interests. You may also already have general electives from a prior college or university that will transfer to Ball State.
