The Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Music offers a flexible and rigorous curriculum tailored to your individual interests and career goals. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your performance and musicianship, develop skills in composition and music technology, or prepare for a career in the music industry, this degree allows you to explore music in a broad cultural and creative context.

Students may specialize in Applied Music, Music Creation and Composition, Music Exploration, or Music Industry, or pursue a general path within the program. BA/BS students have access to all courses offered by the School of Music, along with elective flexibility to explore additional disciplines.

Our Music Industry and Music Exploration concentrations do not require an audition, allowing students to begin coursework in music and explore additional program options after arriving on campus.

“I like that I can earn minors in both Spanish and Creative Writing with my BA/BS in Music. My major enables me to meet the same practical standards as a Music Major like Performance while still pursuing other avenues.”
