Combine your passion for computer generated effects and film making in our Visual Effects and Motion Graphics concentration. This concentration teaches students industry standard practices in integrating live-action footage with computer generated elements to create realistic effects. Students will also create content using XR (extended reality) and work in our own virtual production studio.
You’ll take 3D and XR classes, as well as classes in Visual Effects and Compositing, and Motion Graphics. Students also choose from electives in the Department of Media, School of Art, and SJSC’s Media Design and Development program. Visual Effects and Motion Graphics students can also participate in our signature immersive learning experiences including our annual Spring Break trip to Los Angeles and a year-long short film production project called Radiance Cinema.
What happens after graduation? Graduates will be prepared to work in virtual production, post-production, live events, immersive media experiences, and film or television. Their technical and teamwork skills will translate well in to roles in motion capture, virtual production, virtual camera, VFX, and volume wall production.
