If sports broadcast journalism is your passion, your place is our Sports Reporting concentration. You'll take classes in sports content creation, sports media and strategic communication, video, news editing, broadcast news and sports writing, podcasts/play-by-play/presentation, and others. And you can join NewsLink Indiana Sports, the sports arm of our student-run nightly newscast, as a reporter, anchor, producer, or more.
By the time your senior year comes around, you’ll have a compelling portfolio that will allow you to enter careers in news or sports journalism in front or behind the camera. You will also be prepared for roles where strong skills in writing, research, critical thinking, and communication are valued.
