Step 2: Review Our Admission Process
Some admission requirements differ between types of applicants. Be sure to follow the process that aligns with your current situation. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.

If you are a Permanent Resident of the U.S., refugee, asylee, DACA, or undocumented status holder, follow the admission requirements for domestic applicants
. If you have a pending U.S. Permanent Resident application, you must apply as an international applicant
If you were previously enrolled at Ball State but have not taken classes for more than a year—or if you received a "Re-Admit" error when attempting to register for classes—you need to select the “Re-enroll (previous Ball State graduate students only)” option under “Academic Intent” in your application.

Step 4: Gather Your Application Materials

Step 5: Review Department-specific Information

Attend an Interview
Each February, we host an Interview Day for prospective students who have applied to the master’s degree program in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education (SAAHE). The interview date for Fall 2022 admission is February 19, 2022.
This is your opportunity to learn more about the curriculum, meet the faculty, and interview for admission to the program and for a graduate assistant position.
You can register to attend when you complete the departmental application. The faculty interview and one graduate assistantship interview will be prescheduled and then up to three additional assistantship interviews can be scheduled at the Graduate Assistantship Fair held on Interview Day.
A complete application along with a resume and transcript must be received by the deadline in order to be considered for an invitation to Interview Day. Based upon the application deadline and quality of applicant materials, candidates will be invited to Interview Day.
Interview Day participants have preference for admission to the program and graduate assistantships. If you have a conflict with the scheduled date, contact us to discuss options.
