Create Your Ball State Username and Password

If you were previously admitted to Ball State, either through dual credit admission or undergraduate admission, you already have a Ball State username. Your Ball State username ends with @bsu.edu. You will use this username and password to sign in to Self-Service Banner and other university systems.

If you are being admitted for the first time, you will receive your Ball State username via your personal email (the email account you used to apply for admission). You will receive the email approximately 48 business hours after being admitted. It will come from our Technology HelpDesk and will include instructions to activate your Ball State username and set your password.

If you cannot locate the email with your Ball State username, please contact the HelpDesk.

If you know your username but cannot remember your password, it can be reset by going to the Ball State Password Console and clicking on "Forgot Password" in the upper right corner.

If you do not know your username our office can assist. You may email us at dualcredit@bsu.edu.

Register for Courses

Within 48 hours after you’ve received the email with your username, you will be assigned a registration time ticket. If registration for that term has begun, and you’ve been assigned a time ticket, then you can register for your class(es).

Regardless of when you were admitted, you will need a time ticket assigned to you each semester in order to register for classes. If you receive an error when you attempt to register for a class stating you do not have a time ticket, please notify our office via email at dualcredit@bsu.edu.

If you change your course registration for any reason, you will need an updated High School/Parent permission form (PDF) on file.
