The arts are for everyone! The School of Art is excited to offer the following art classes for adults.

Community Pottery Class

a look inside the Ball State ceramics studioWhether a beginner or an advanced student, this class offers students opportunities to expand on their basic skills and develop abilities as a creative individual. Students work with many techniques within both traditional hand building and wheel throwing, as well as learn about the basics of decorating, glazing and firing.

Register for Class

  • Students may register for either Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced versions of the course. Classes cost $230-$280 depending on the level.
  • Students are required to bring specific tools and supplies each evening. These are provided in a supply kit that can be purchased from the Art Mart art supply in the Ball State Village. Cost of the kit is not included in the course fee.
  • Classes are held 6-9 pm Wednesday evenings, starting the second Wednesday of each semester and running 10 instructional weeks (excluding holidays and conferences.)
  • The program will be in the Ceramics Studio AJ 125 in the Art and Journalism Building
