Susan Luo is the Director of Global Academic Partnerships and interim Director of the Intensive English Institute (IEI) at the Rinker Center. Susan supports various aspects of the dual degree program, from curriculum design, collaboration articulation negotiation to student advising and faculty collaboration. With her interim IEI leading role, she works with the IEI instructors to develop and implement ESL curriculum, ensuring it is aligned with best practices and responsive to the international students' needs at BSU.

Susan received her Ph.D. in Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies, with a concentration in TESOL, from the University of New Mexico. She has taught students from various cultural backgrounds and proficiency levels. She also has participated in ESL teacher training projects involving American secondary-level teachers and scholars from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Egypt, and China.
