Dr. Michael Gambrel serves as the Director of the Logistics and Supply Chain Center for Excellence at Ball State University. As an undergraduate, he was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society for Business, Management, and Administration. He then furthered his expertise by earning an MBA from Ball State University. Capping his academic tenure, he earned a doctorate in healthcare administration. This doctoral work emphasized the complexities of high-stakes, zero-error environments, an invaluable perspective when managing the "life-safety" aspects of global logistics and medical supply chains.

Before stepping into his role as Director, Dr. Gambrel served as the Chair of the Ball State Logistics and Supply Chain Program Advisory Board. During his tenure, he was instrumental in aligning the program's curriculum with the rapidly evolving needs of the private sector.
