In recognition of the dramatic influence of lighting on energy use in today's socie
ty, the Center for Energy Research/Education/Service (CERES) is in the process of converting portions of its physical facilities and resource base to accommodate the creation of a laboratory dedicated specifically to lighting research, education and service. This facility and capability will be implemented in a manner consistent with the stated CERES mission and will be made available to the Ball State, local, state and regional communities.
Phases one and two of the project, the heliodon laboratory, and the Mirror Box Artificial Sky have been completed. Companion web sites have been developed to assist individuals and groups with the use of the facilities.
