Our center provides training to high and middle school teachers through the Insurance Education Institute
. The institute is funded by grants from the Insurance Education Foundation (IEF). Located in Indianapolis, IEF is a nonprofit charitable organization whose goal is to improve the understanding of insurance and its role in society through the education of teachers and students.
Each year, the program is open to the first 35 qualified participants. To be eligible, you must be teaching a course leading to a high school diploma that relates to insurance education. Teachers in grades 6-12 in the following and related disciplines are encouraged to apply:
- business
- driver's education
- economics
- health
- mathematics
- family and consumer sciences
