We are always looking for a project our faculty and students can be
immersed
in. One of our goals is to connect our students to you. By doing projects, you will get to see their skills, and they will get to see what real life is about.
Actuarial students and
faculty
are participating in an ongoing project to forecast Medicaid costs. Our role is to gather the data and create a database for the analysis. We also do proprietary research for major insurance companies.
Our risk management and insurance
faculty and staff were sought out by officials at the Indiana Toll Road in 2002 to look at their insurance program. Our job was to look at the risk of the toll road, current coverage, and to give an evaluation on what could be done better or differently.
Students in the
risk management and insurance program have opportunities to do risk management surveys for organizations such as the
Youth Opportunity Center
in Muncie.
