University Media Services professionals work as a team with Ball State University
faculty members to coordinate and support the delivery of undergraduate and
graduate courses using live interactive web-conferencing
software. University Media Services also supports the delivery of Ball State University
undergraduate and graduate asynchronous courses using Mediasite, a rich media
presentation-recording system.
Faculty members are guided through a training process which helps them
understand how to effectively teach in the distance learning environment.
Faculty members also work closely with the Ball State University iLearn, Online and
Distance Education, and University Libraries. The training and delivery process
is coordinated through University Media Services Distance Learning area located in the E. F.
Ball Communication Building, Room 206.

- Technology support for Ball State University Distance Learning
courses delivered using interactive web-conferencing and Mediasite
- Digital archive of all live Ball State University distance education courses
- Digital video introductions for on-line Internet courses
- Supplemental instruction CDs and DVDs
Distance Education studio video production for presentation projects, supplementary instruction and live webinars
