Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors offers two internal grant opportunities specifically for undergraduate students.

Undergraduate Student Travel Grant

The Undergraduate Student Travel Grants provides funding to help Ball State University undergraduate students, Burris Laboratory School students (grades 11-12), and Indiana Academy students (grades 11-12) travel to present their work at a professional meeting or conference, or ot perform or exhibit creative works.

Awards may be used for eligible travel expenses and registration fees associated with approved presentations or performances. The maximum award is $300 per student. Funding is limited and subject to availability.

Applications are due on the 15th of the month prior to travel. For example, if you conference or performance is in October, you must apply by September 15.

Undergraduate Project Grant

The Undergraduate Project Grant provides funding to support Ball State University undergraduate students, Burris Laboratory School students (grades 11-12), and Indiana Academy students (grades 11-12) in their creative or research endeavors.

Funding can be utilized to cover supplies, expenses, equiment, and travel costs. Each project should have a faculty mentor that they work closely with on their project. The maximum award is $300 per students. Funding is limited and subject to availability.

Applications are accepted once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester.

Fall application deadline: November 10

Spring application deadline: February 10
