Jennifer Rivera
Assistant Professor of Exercise Science
Dr. Rivera’s research interest includes observation of the inflammatory response following resistance exercise. Specifically, her interest is investigating how popularized recovery modalities may impact the inflammatory response which is required to mediate proper recovery and therefore may impact rate of recovery in athletic performance. Her research agenda aims to understand and provide education on the appropriate utilization of these modalities without impeding the physiological processes while optimizing the rate of athletic performance recovery.
