"Latent Architectures: Getting what you asked for, but not what you wanted”
Joshua Vermillion is an associate professor and graduate coordinator in the School of Architecture at UNLV. He is a designer, scholar, and maker. As a design technologist he uses AI technology to augment his creative activities. This lecture will show a range of work with Generative-AI in speculating about this technology’s role within the design process, as well as our shifting definitions of intelligence, creativity, control, creative agency, and expertise within our creative disciplines.
