Important Travel Information
Traffic Delays Possible
- An Indiana Michigan Power project has impacted portions of roads located west of Ball State's campus. Portions of Tillotson Avenue may be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane.
- On IN 332 between I-69 and Tillotson Avenue, there are alternating lane closures due to repaving and road construction work.
We recommend using Bethel Avenue to access the parking lots surrounding Worthen Arena.
Fall Commencement will be held on Saturday, December 14, at 10 a.m. in Worthen Arena. There is one ceremony that takes place in the Fall that recognizes all graduates together. Worthen Arena will open at 9:00 a.m. The ceremony will last approximately two hours.
The ceremony is not ticketed, so graduates are welcome to invite as many guests as they would like.
Graduates should enter at Lower Level Gate 1 and be in their seat by 9:45 a.m. Graduates and guests are expected to adhere to the etiquette and protocols guidelines. Fall Commencement will be livestreamed on this website on the day of the event.

All graduates must complete the following three steps:
Step 1: Apply to Graduate
Complete the official graduation application by the appropriate deadline. The deadlines to apply for graduation were:
- Wednesday, October 23 (graduate students)
- Monday, December 9 (undergraduate students)
In order for a student's name to be included in the commencement program book, they must apply no later than Thursday, November 14. Any students who apply after this date will not have their name printed in the commencement program book.

Step 2: Register for Commencement
Complete the Commencement registration form to let us know your plan to attend Commencement. The deadline to submit this form is Thursday, November 14.

Step 3: Order Your Cap and Gown
Order your cap and gown online. You will be given two shipping options.
- Ship to Home (additional shipping and handling fee): ordering deadline—Monday, November 18
- Ship to Bookstore (pick-up beginning December 5): ordering deadline—Friday, October 25
