Ball State University’s Miller College of Business (MCOB) has earned reaffirmation of accreditation from AACSB International—the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business—for both its business and accounting programs.
The achievement places Ball State among a distinguished group of fewer than six percent of business schools worldwide that hold both accreditations.
This extension of accreditation marks a new six-year cycle—the maximum possible term—demonstrating sustained excellence across its academic programs, faculty research, student outcomes, and societal impact.
“We are proud to receive this continued recognition from AACSB,” said Dr. Cathy L. Z. DuBois, Bryan Dean of the Miller College of Business. “It reflects the extraordinary work of our faculty and staff, who are deeply committed to student success, community impact, and continuous improvement. This extension of accreditation signals to our current and prospective students—as well as to employers and alumni—that a Ball State business education remains a valuable and credible investment.”
AACSB accreditation is widely regarded as the benchmark of quality and rigor in business education worldwide. The review process examines institutions on strategic alignment, faculty qualifications, curriculum relevance, learner success, and societal impact.
According to AACSB: “AACSB accreditation is a powerful differentiator for business schools and their graduates. Institutions that earn accreditation demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, curriculum development, and student learning. AACSB-accredited schools produce graduates who are highly skilled and more desirable to employers than other non-accredited schools.”
Ball State’s accounting program also maintains supplemental AACSB accreditation, a recognition achieved by fewer than 200 institutions globally. Together, these accreditations affirm the college’s commitment to preparing students for fulfilling careers in a complex and evolving global economy.
