Higher education experts Jeff Selingo and Rich DeMillo are among the prominent speakers visiting Ball State University this spring. The schedule also includes philanthropist Lauren Bush Lauren, ESPN founder Bill Rasmussen and Letterman Series lecturers Eric King Watts and Manjula Talreja.

"Major Barbara," a bold play that provides an original take on ongoing political issues, will open at Ball State University at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6 in University Theatre. The production also will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 7-8 and 12-15, with a matinee performance at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 9.

Small-farm issues in a big-farm world are the central theme of "Down to Earth," a new documentary created by Ball State University students focused on promoting a more sustainable and locally based food system for our nation. The 35-minute film spotlights east central Indiana farmer Kyle Becker and his passion to implement sustainable farming methods to help heal his land while providing healthy food to people throughout the region.
